Full Day I Arequipa – Colca Canyon – Cruz del Cóndor – Chivay – Arequipa Our Full Day Colca Canyon tour starts early with pick-up from your hotel in Arequipa between 03:30 and 04:00 in the morning to embark on a journey to one of the most impressive natural destinations in southern Peru. During the route, we will traverse unique high Andean landscapes, with views of volcanoes, mountains, and vast plains until we reach the Colca Valley.
After approximately 3 hours of travel, we will make a stop in Chivay to enjoy a typical breakfast and recharge before continuing our adventure to one of the most anticipated points of the trip.
We will continue toward the famous Cruz del Cóndor, one of the most impressive natural viewpoints in the Colca Valley. From here, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the canyon's depth and have the opportunity to observe the majestic flight of the Andean Condor, one of the most representative birds of the Andes. We will also have time to take photographs and appreciate this unique landscape.
On the return journey to Chivay, we will visit traditional valley towns such as Maca and Yanque, where we can explore their colonial churches, ancestral agricultural terraces, and customs that still keep the Andean identity alive. Optionally, travelers can enjoy a moment of relaxation in the volcanic hot springs of the area. (approximately 1 hour).
At noon, we will arrive again in Chivay, where we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
